The amount of used cooking oil delivered nationwide has increased by 15% thanks to ALDI
In December 2020, ALDI Hungary experimentally installed used cooking oil collectors at its 11 stores. Free casters have become extremely popular among customers, so in line with the company’s environmental measures, it has established cooking oil drop-off points at its more than 100 stores. During the first 15 months, customers delivered 100,000 kilograms of baking fat. ALDI and Biofilter Zrt. handed over the 100th drop-off point in March 2022, which will soon be followed by new collectors.
