Carrefour France fined EUR1.3 million
The retailer was fined for paying salaries below the minimum wage for France to 429 employees.
Carrefour has been fined EUR1.3 million
for infringement of workers' rights, a local police court said. Now
the retailer has to pay EUR3,000 in compensation to each of these
employees. Meanwhile, it has to pay another EUR75,000 in damages to
the trade unions which were parties to the legal proceedings.
