LG has led the global OLED TV market for 12 years
LG maintained its leading position in the global OLED TV market in 2024, with a 52.4 percent share of the premium segment for the twelfth consecutive year. This success is based on technological innovation and continuous improvement of the user experience.
The premium TV segment – the market for devices priced above $1,500 – is increasingly based on OLED technology. According to recent market research by Omdia, these devices already accounted for 45 percent of the entire premium segment in 2023, and this proportion could exceed 50 percent in 2024. LG is leading the market trends: the company sold 3.18 million OLED TVs worldwide last year, achieving a 52.4 percent share in this category.
Technological superiority and consumer demand
LG’s fourth quarter was particularly strong, with more than 1.1 million OLED TVs sold worldwide. The brand is focusing on superior picture and sound quality, as well as smart, customizable features that are increasingly important to consumers.
LG’s webOS and AI-powered control allow users to customize their viewing experience, while 4K 144Hz wireless transmission takes content consumption to a new level.
