113 403 500 HUF from Tesco to achieve carefree childhood
Nigel Jones, CEO of Tesco-Global Stores Ltd. handed over the giant check, that symbolizes the record-breaking fundraising donation that was gathered in the scope of the joint action of the company and the aid agency to Lehel László, President and Director of the Ecumenical Aid Organization.
The department store chain and the Aid Organization launched their coupon collecting action on 7 May. Within six weeks a total of 56,701,750 HUF donations were gathered, thanks to the customers. Tesco has doubled this amount so the company contributed to improve the conditions of families living in tempoary homes, and to the summer camping of children with a total of 113 403 500 HUF.
