110-year old brand
Nordsee is a German fast food chain that specialises in seafood. They have 400 units all over the continent – the company is the third biggest restaurant chain in Europe. It has been present in Hungary for one and a half year and their second restaurant opened in Váci Street at the end of April.
Mafish Kft. owns the franchise rights for Nordsee in Hungary. The enterprise intends to establish 10 units in 5 years. Last year press reports estimated that Nordsee’s sales revenue was above HUF 100 million. Nordsee only uses quality frozen base materials, which come to Hungary from Bremenhaven.
Main dishes in the Váci Street unit cost HUF 1,250-5,690. Mafish Kft.’s managing director Botond Pekár expects that in the tourist season 60 percent of guest will be foreigners.
