Henkel 4Q Net Profit +11%
In the full year, Henkel posted sales of EUR13.07 billion, up 2.6% from 2006, organic sales grew 5.8%.
Earnings before interest and taxes, or
EBIT, in the fourth quarter came in flat at EUR323 million. The
Duesseldorf-based company said it will invest EUR500 million to boost
efficiency worldwide this year, aiming for cost savings of EUR150
million a year by 2011. The move may lead to up to 3,000 job cuts, it
said.
For 2008, Henkel expects to reach
organic sales growth of 3%-4% and expects EBIT, and earnings per
preferred share growing stronger than sales.
