Television advertising revenues have fallen with 11 percent
The TV market closed a difficult year in 2012 – shows the results of MEME. Television advertising spendings were below 50 billion HUF for the first time in 2012. The 48.723 billion HUF net income is a 11 percent reduction compared to 2011.
Kovács Krisztián, President of the MEME told that in 4 years, television advertising revenues declined by 30 percent. However, the share ratio is interesting: the non-spot revenues decreased significantly from 2008 to 2009, and then began to grow. Behind this process, the conservative reactions of the advertisers can be detected, that directed their spendings towards the usual spots during the crisis. (mediapiac.com)
