On the first day, 107,000 producers received an area-based advance payment
On the first day of the advance payment, about 73 billion forints of area-based support (SAPS support) was given to 107 thousand producers, and on Tuesday more than 3,000 dairy farmers will receive 14 billion HUF in dairy cow support, Minister of Agriculture Nagy István said in a statement issued by the Ministry of Agriculture on Monday.
As in previous years, Hungary pays an advance to the farmers from the earliest date given by the EU rules, ie from 18 October. This year, farmers have submitted 166,000 single applications for five million hectares of agricultural land. (MTI)
