Wheat’s per tonne price nears 100,000 forints
According to PÁIR data from the Research Institute of Agricultural Economics (AKI), the live weight price of broiler chicken increased by 11 percent to HUF 238/kg and turkey’s price grew by 7 percent to HUF 410/kg in Hungary in the first 46 weeks of 2021. In the European Union the average price of whole chicken was EUR 198/100kg in the same period, 7 percent higher than in the base period. In Hungary this price rose 5.5 percent to HUF 534/kg.
On the second week of November milling wheat’s like-for-like production price (without VAT and shipping costs) jumped 56 percent and reached HUF 96.6 thousand/tonne. Feed wheat’s price was up 57 percent at HUF 93.5 thousand/tonne and feed corn cost 56 percent more at HUF 87.4 thousand/tonne. Rapeseed’s production price was HUF 259.6 thousand/tonne. //
