The limited edition sneaker launched as part of the Lidl and Tisza Cipő collaboration attracted great interest, and Lidl added another one and offered 12 models with unique motifs for charity. Thanks to the special promotion, the department store chain is supporting a child living in state care with 10,000,000 forints.

The shoe made from the Lidl and Tisza Cipő collaboration not only moved fans and the domestic sneaker world, but the market-leading department store chain also made sure that, as a responsible and ethical company, it also served charitable purposes with its latest campaign. In this regard, the company launched a call on its Facebook page between August 7 and 10, in which 12 uniquely painted Lidl & Tisza shoes with different patterns could be won, and commenters also contributed to the ever-growing donation.

Each of the shoes was given a unique fantasy name based on the unique pattern on it, which is how the Dinnye Drop, Funky Doughnut and Parkside Love models were born, among others. All fans had to do was write the fantasy name of the shoe they wanted to win. However, the stakes were much higher than that, as for each comment from fans, the company offered 500 forints to the Világszép Gyermekvédelmi Alapítvány, so that children living in state care also have a chance to develop, live an independent and happy life. The call received nearly 8,500 comments, which means a donation of more than 4 million forints for the foundation, but Lidl increased this amount even further, as a result of which disadvantaged young people will receive a total of 10 million forints in support.

“With the limited edition sneaker, we paid tribute to Hungarian products and Hungarian design in a unique and exciting way that is typical of Lidl. However, we considered it important not only to please our customers, but also to draw attention as a market leader and provide real help to those in need. During the campaign, we worked together with the Világszép Gyermekvédelmi Alapítvány, who create a safety net for nearly 200 young people living in children’s homes by providing real individual attention, positive reinforcement and unconditional acceptance. This emotional security is essential for them to be able to develop, develop their talents and later, as adults, be able to take care of themselves and think responsibly,”

– said Zita Szlavikovics, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Lidl Hungary.
