IKEA introduced this product line 10 years ago
In 2014, he carried out the biggest selection change in IKEA’s history to date, when he switched from FAKTUM to the METOD product line overnight. The kitchen system responded to renewed customer needs and has enjoyed unbroken popularity since its introduction: in the past ten years, IKEA has sold a total of 212,000 METOD kitchens in Hungary.
Today, the kitchen is more than an area used for preparing food. Cooking is often a joint family event, and the kitchen often plays the role of a dining room, where family members talk, work, or children do their homework while dinner is being prepared. The new role of kitchens has also changed customer needs. IKEA responded to this when it switched to the METOD product range in 2014 and introduced around 1,100 new products in its stores in one night.
With its kitchen furniture, the Swedish furniture store chain offers customers an affordable, yet durable and versatile option – a kitchen that fits every home and in which generations can grow up. The METOD furniture system offers customers 16,000 different combination options, and thanks to the high quality of the elements, they can plan for the long term, which is also proven by the 25-year warranty on the product.
