Roland had been working in the United States for two years when in the second half of 2010 Café Erté closed for good. When we asked owner Andrea Sarrang about the reasons she only said she would never open another restaurant. When Roland was the head chef, Café Erté was popular among guests and critics alike. Three chefs tried to fill his shoes in one year, but to no avail.
