The old vine from Maribor to be planted in Szekszárd
The oldest known vine of the world will be planted in Szekszárd in the courtyard of the Roman Catholic parish on Sunday. The vine was donated by the president of the Slovenian Parliament to his Hungarian colleague Kövér László.
Robert Kokalj, Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia in Budapest will also take part in the ceremony.
The over 450 years of vine was handed over by Milan Brglez to László Kövér in November last year, who donated it to the wine region of Szekszárd. (MTI)
