Survey on the so-called career starting crisis
One third of young Hungarians are seriously worried about starting their work career and one quarter of them aren’t sure whether they can find a job that suits their personality and pays well too. According to the results of a survey, conducted with nearly 300 Hungarian and foreign students at Budapest Metropolitan University (METU), more than 80 percent of Hungarian students think computer skills are essential and 71 percent reckon speaking foreign languages are crucial – in comparison with the time when their parents started their work career. 42 percent of respondents believe that it was easier for their parents to find a job.
