In Budapest’s 11th district the owner of Café Rotana decided to open a pub just 30 metres away. Creative ideas helped to convert the former office of a funeral company into a pub; there is a simple wooden bar and second-hand furniture from the Ecseri market.

All over the walls there are black-and-white photos of Che Guevara, Puskás Öcsi, Marilyn Monroe and János Kádár. Sandwiches and snacks, 6-8 types of bottled beer, one type of beer on tap, Sopron wine and two dozens of different pálinkas await guests. Every month a different premium spirit costs HUF 280.
