Facelift or Renewal? Trade marketing, my love conference

Dear colleague,

In the last 3 years 35,000 new products and product versions were launched in the Hungarian consumer goods market.

Two thirds of these didn’t survive the 3rd year!

The question emerges: is it worth putting new products, new flavours or new fragrances on the market? Do the many million forints spent on the launches return the investment? Will our product be successful or will it disappear? Is there any chance that it is going to be a popular product and increase the profit of our company?

The next edition of our regular ‘I love trade marketing’ conference – held in February every year – is titled ‘Facelift or renewal?’ and will feature experts from large companies and small firms, who will be speak honestly about both successful product launches and failed ones. They will tell what – in hindsight – caused the success or failure of their product.

We would like to know what role trade marketing played in these product launches and innovations. At the trade marketing conference we will learn about campaigns where trade marketing formed part of an integrated marketing strategy, and about other campaigns where only trade marketing tools were used to launch a new product or product version.

We have invited the representatives and marketing specialists of famous brands and retail chains to speak at the conference, who will share all of their experiences with the participants. In addition to this, we will draw a parallel between the US presidential election and a facelift, and make a connection between sexual psychology and a (product) renewal…
