The harvesting of the earliest grape variety, the Csabagyöngye has begun on Tuesday. Harvest has begun ten days earlier than the average in Hungary and throughout Europe – the Varga Pincészet Kft. told MTI on Tuesday.

The harvest begins every year in the Balatonboglár wine region, with the Csabagyöngye from which Europe’s first new wine is made and which can be shelved in the second half of August.

Varga Máté, managing director of the winery said that, the flowering started earlier than ever this year, so great crops will be in many wine regions of the country. (MTI)
