Hungarian winemaker “International Female Winemaker of the Year” in Germany in 2023!
Germany’s largest online wine portal, selection-online.de, honored Zsófia Kövesdi, the head winemaker of Jammertal Winery, with the title “International Female Winemaker of the Year 2023”.
No Hungarian winemaker has ever received such a remarkable foreign recognition. Germany is one of the largest and most important wine markets in the world. The performance of Zsófia Kövesdi is of outstanding importance from the point of view of Hungarian wine marketing.
It confirms that the terroir of the Villány wine region is suitable for making world-class red wines with a good concept and professional attitude. It faithfully reflects the added value of each expert employee of the estate, led by head winemaker Zsófia Kövesdi and viticulture director Zsolt Nagy.
The German specialist portal tastes and evaluates more than 10,000 items from all over the world every year.
