According to a processing company, poultry production in Hungary might be restored by as early as May – the CEO of the Pannon Fine Food Kft. told MTI on Wednesday.
Nyeste Lajos said that the impact of the avian flu can be truly felt from January, from then they can cut on only one or two days a week. In January, four thousand animals a day were processed. In the peak period in November 7-8 thousand birds were slaughtered every day, so only one-third of their capacity is currently used. The Pannon Fine Food Kft. is dealing with fattened goose and duck processing. (MTI)
