KSH: agricultural producer prices continued to rise in August
In August, agricultural producer prices prices rose by 3.2 percent, compared to the same period of last year, representing a 0.6 percent increase in the prices of plant products and a 7.4 percent increase in prices for live animals and animal products, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Thursday.
The price of plant products increased for the first time in the past year, and the rise in prices of livestock and animal products further slowed down.
Prices of cereals increased by 0.7 percent, including wheat prices by 7.9 percent, and maize prices by 3.7 percent. (MTI)
