Budapest is the 11th in the “world rankings” of conference tourism
In 2011, the ICCA registered 10 000 events which are regularly held and their sites were varied between at least three different countries. It is up to 800 more than a year earlier.
The first six countries performed similarly, compared to 2010: U.S.A. remained the leader, followed by Germany, Spain, Great Britain, France and Italy.
In case of cities Vienna maintained its position on the first place, Paris became the second, followed by Barcelona as third, in front of Berlin, Madrid and Singapore. Budapest was ranked eleventh – turizmusonline.hu writes.
