Inflation was in line with expectations in the US in December
Analysts expect consumer prices to rise in the United States in December: the US Department of Labor’s statistical office said on Friday that inflation was 1.9 percent year-on-year.
Analysts also expected 1.9 percent after the 2.2 percent in November.
In monthly comparison, consumer prices decreased by 0.1 percent in December, while stagnating in the previous month.
The core inflation calculated by eliminating strongly volatile food and energy prices in December increased by 0.2 percent month-on-month, as well as in November. (MTI)
