The MNB warns about the prudent recruitment of consumer loans
The central bank warns of a deliberate recruitment of smaller consumer loans linked to Christmas purchases. Depending on the type of loan and the financial institution offering the loan, the difference can be up to 45,000 HUF between the repayable debt of a one-year loan of 200,000 forints.
In its press release sent to MTI on Wednesday, the Hungarian National Bank (MNB) draws attention that consumer protection information campaigns have been launched in recent days on the considerations of prudent borrowing prior to Christmas and on the risks of quick loans. (MTI)
