2017 is the “century’s” vintage
Although the calendar is still in the beginning of October, the “big harvest” ends in the majority of wine regions this weekend, so in the Varga Winery. The yield has a good medium quantity, but outstanding in quality. Rain and sun were just as much as the grapes like, and from the healthier and tastier grapes, pure, rich, vibrant wines can be made.
The volume of grapes processed by the Varga Winery grows year after year. This year it is about 30 percent more than last year’s 16 million kilograms. The winery is one of Hungary’s largest purchasers. In Hungary, they sell the most bottles; last year 14.6 million, and this year 16 million will be sold. In addition to their high-quality mid-price wines, their premium products are becoming increasingly popular and their professional work has been awarded with prestigious foreign and domestic prizes.
