Pet Cup bottle with transmitter traveled 300 km in 1 week
In addition to collecting, selecting and processing floodplain waste, the Tisza PET Cup also pays special attention to the research of river plastic pollution. If we know the behavior of pollution, river cleanup operations have a better chance of success. On 7 January 2022, Krisztián Berberovics, the river rescuer of the PET Cup, used the peak of the tidal wave to release bottles with GPS transmitters at two locations.
