The construction of Inpark’s first logistics centre has commenced in Páty, near the capital city Budapest. The foundation stone was laid today by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó, the Managing Director of Kühne + Nagel Kft., Márton Lányi and the CEO of NIPÜF Zrt., Zsombor Török.
The 23,000 sqm greenfield project is to be developed by Inpark, known as the brand name of the state-owned industrial property development group NIPÜF. Set to be completed by July 2017, the distribution centre in Páty will create 160 new jobs in 2017. Inpark’s investment in the project is approximately EUR 16 million, 75% of which will be financed by an international bank.
„It is an honour for Hungary that one of the world’s leading logistics company decided to create its automotive parts distribution centre here. It is also important, because as significant changes are underway in the world, the struggle to attract investments to Hungary is also becoming more intense. If in Hungary the private sector and the government had not joined hands, this investment would have taken place in one of the neighbouring countries”, said Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó.
“Inpark’s team has accumulated decades of experience in development and project management on the international industrial property market. We are proud to devote this expertise to such a large-scale investment for our prominent customer. Inpark Páty is situated at an excellent logistics location, and is well-suited to be our kick-off project” – said Zsombor Török, CEO of NIPÜF Zrt.
„NIPÜF considers this development a reference project. The strict quality requirements will support us in providing fast and reliable logistics solutions to our customers” – Márton Lányi, Managing Director of Kühne + Nagel Hungary, pointed out.
