Carrefour Launches Contest For Plant-Based Startups
French retailer Carrefour has launched a new international competition, the ‘Plant-Based Contest’, aimed at innovative startups in the plant-based segment.
The competition, which runs from 31 March to 8 May, is open to startups around the world, with all submissions reviewed by a specialist jury.
Following the completion of the first round of the competition, selected startups will be invited to participation in the final round on 9 June, where each finalist will make a startup pitch, and winners will be selected.
At the completion of the contest, five innovative products will be promoted on Carrefour shelves, as well as via the retailer’s e-commerce platforms, and will be tested by consumers.
