The industry has committed itself to versatile portrayal of people in advertising
Under the auspices of the ÖRT, about thirty member companies and two professional organizations have committed themselves beyond the Code to promote human dignity in advertising. Signatories are committed to contributing to positive cultural change through responsible and varied portrayal of people in advertising.
An important and forward-looking commitment has been made by the advertising industry to pay even more attention to the multifaceted portrayal of people in the future, in the interests of consumer dignity and self-esteem. Commitment itself is an important “category” in self-regulation.
