Fuel from McDonald's oil
The Dubai-based Neutral Fuels announced on Monday that it reached an agreement with McDonald's, that the company will transform the used cooking oil to 100 percent bio-diesel in the Middle Eastern restaurants of the fast food chain.
The company already started to experiment with McDonald's cooking oil last year and from May this year real production has started. “This is the first time that we produce such fuel, which is 50 percent cleaner than normal diesel, in addition its eco footprint is much smaller, because the fuel is produced from used oil. The project is particularly exciting because I do not think that anyone had tried to sale this kind of bio-diesel in the Arabian peninsula “- said Karl W. Feilder, president of the Neutral group – reports Világgazdaság Online, after Bloomberg.
