New products for health-conscious consumers from the Meat Research Institute
The National Meat Industry Research Institute develops food recipes for healthy eating in particular for small and medium-sized food processors – Mátyus Imre the Executive Director of the institution told MTI.
Mátyus Imre said that the institute's scientists have developed a total of 12 types of novelties, Including cold cuts with lower salt content, ham and sausage recipes, cold cuts prepared from African catfish, and the production technology of several vegetarian menus, in which meat is substituted with soy, peas and other vegetable ingredients, but its taste does not differ from the fatty meat versions.
