Demand for flour from hundreds of years old mills has increased in England
Demand for traditionally produced flour has increased in the UK due to closures related to the coronavirus pandemic. There’s an old mill where there’s a week-long list of cities for deliveries – origo wrote after the Guardian.
As a result of the measures taken due to the pandemic, more and more people in England are baking at home, making various bakery products, but the role of small-scale bakeries in supply has also increased. However, some customers turned to traditional milled flour, partly due to a temporary shortage of stocks due to closures. (origo)
