For more than a year, in the shadow of COVID, the retail sector
According to data published by the CSO at the beginning of last summer, the volume of retail sales decreased by 10% in April last year compared to April 2019. This broke a trend that has been going on for years in the sector, reaching rock bottom. The decrease was entirely caused by the epidemic situation and affected different parts of the country: while traffic decreased in and around the capital and the western part of the country, traffic increased less in some eastern districts. .
