Tesco vs. trade union – court case can be from the strike
Tesco sent written warnings to its employees who participated in Liga's 8th of May strike. Independent Trade Union of Workers wants to bring the case into court.
The employer was called upon to warn the workers involved in the strike and also warned that in the future they should fully comply with the obligations of work, or face some consequences – pointed at on Tesco's letter Bubenkó Csaba, chairman of the trade union.
According to Hackl Mónika, spokesman of Tesco Global Stores Ltd., the chains of stores does not consider the strike on the 8th of May legitimate, because the trade union was not acted in accordance with the rules of law, during the strike. In spite of this, the employer did not use theopportunities provided by the laws of the sanctions, but also drew the attention of the striking workers, on the irregularity of the strike and the possible consequences of the participation.
Bubenkó Csaba, however, reported that the trade union have already announced its intention to strike on 4th of May, so in their views, the store sanctioned the legitimate participants in their constitutional rights – reports MTI Eco.
