The food price increase reaches Slovakia
Because crop failures caused by the drought and due to world market price increases a significant food price increases can be expected in Slovakia in the next few months – Jarmila Halgasová, director of the Slovak Chamber of Food Industry (PKS), told on Thursday at a press conference in Pozsony.
According to Daniel Poturnay, president of the Slovak Chamber of Food Industry (PKS), in the background of the expected risinfg food prices primarily the lower harvest can be found. In addition, from these crops this year, consumption exceeded the level of inventories. (Starovic Tibor, MTI)
