The attitude of hotels to the assessment of the weight of F&B (food and beverage) services has changed a lot in the last 2-3 years – the latest VIMOSZ newsletter quotes the Hotstats analysis.
He calls attention to a new phenomenon in the Hotstats blog. Until now, hoteliers have treated F&B as loving the B, while the F for food would have been deciphered whenever possible. Now, however, the analysis of statistics and hotel profit and loss statements shows that the perception of food traffic has changed from pejorative to positive. So, while previously it was a necessary evil, where even zero was difficult to achieve as a result, now, with the appearance of new types of hotels, guests’ tastes have also changed, and thus the presence of F&B income has become much greater.
