Flavours to be enjoyed without restrictions: nearly 100 ‘free from’ products in ALDI stores
Not even those ALDI customers have to give up enjoying tasty food who are suffering from some kind of food intolerance. They can enjoy a wide range of lactose- and gluten-free products without restrictions if they choose the products in the ALDI Enjoy Free selection. It is enough to mention that ALDI stores offer 1.5- and 2.8-percent fat Enjoy Free milks, 60- and 82-percent fat butters, various yogurts, kefirs, cheese varieties, cottage cheese and desserts. ALDI also thinks of those who must follow a gluten-free diet. These products are typically made from rice and corn flour instead of wheat flour (and wheat starch is also substituted in these products).
Gluten-free Enjoy Free baked goods can also be recognised from their special packaging, which guarantees that they aren’t ‘contaminated’ with gluten. These products are usually marketed in smaller portions, so that they can easily be consumed before their expiration date. ALDI stores also sell gluten-free breakfast cereals, cold cuts, biscuits and energy bars. In order to meet growing consumer demand, manufacturers keep developing new products and technologies, and soon new innovations will appear in ALDI’s product selection. (x)
