The Conference Board’s overall U.S. economic indicator deteriorated in January
Instead of the increase expected by analysts, the Conference U.S. Economic Research Institute’s overall U.S. economic index declined in January.
According to the institute’s report released on Friday, the value of the Leading Economic Index (LEI) fell by 0.3 percent to 119.6 points. Analysts expected a 0.2 percent rise after a 0.7 percent increase in December. (MTI)
