Regular consumer protection inspections to be carried out in the chains in the capital
The consumer protection inspections will continue and will be regular in the future to provide appropriate quality and standard to the customers – emphasized Pesti Imre, Government Office commissioner of the Budapest Government Office on Thursday at a press conference in Budapest.
He pointed out that the consumer advocates inspected 63 different stores of supermarket chains in the capital between the 14th of November and the 22nd of December 2011. The opposition rate was 49 percent, and 16 million HUF fines was imposed. In January and February this year, 64 stores were examined, the offense rate was 61 percent and 67.5 million fines was imposed. (MTI)
