POPAI Winners from all of the world, with a Hungarian winner
All the world's a stage and this year entrants from over 12 countries rushed to that stage to prove that they have what it takes to beat out the best of the best that marketing at retail has to offer from around the globe.
Point of Purchase Advertising International (POPAI), the global association for marketing at retail, announced today the winners of its inaugural Global Marketing At Retail Awards Contest in Düsseldorf, Germany.
“Recognizing the most innovative and effective point of purchase displays from around the world is an important way to establish the ever changing standard of excellence in marketing at retail,” said Richard Winter, POPAI President. “The range of entries from proven winners demonstrates the impressive creativity and evolution of the marketing at retail medium. The Global Marketing At Retail Awards program is a great way for an organization to establish and communicate its understanding of the power and effectiveness of marketing at retail on a global level.”
To qualify for entry into the 2011 Global Marketing at Retail Awards Contest entrants were required to have won Display of the Year or Gold awards from the 2010 Awards Contest run by POPAI Chapters in Australia & New Zealand, Benelux, France, Hungary, Italy, North America and the United Kingdom & Ireland.
“The Global Marketing at Retail Awards program builds upon the success and strength of existing POPAI Chapter awards contests by creating an annual global awards contest that is only open to the best in class designs,” said Tom Harris, POPAI Global Development Chair. “By engaging major retailers, brands and design agencies from around the world POPAI is helping to further raise awareness of the importance of marketing at retail, and part of that awareness effort includes creating a global platform to showcase design and manufacturing talents from around the world.”
