Annual inflation above 5 percent
In September 2010, the average monthly consumer price drop was 0.1 percent. Compared with September 2009, prices increased by 3.8 percent. In the first nine months were prices higher by an average 5.1 percent, compared to the same period of last year.
In a month – compared with August 2010 – food prices fell by 0.4 percent, due to the 7.7 percent price decrease of seasonal foods (potatoes, fresh vegetables and fruit) and the 0.8 percent decrease of the other foods. The price of flour increased by 15.3%, the edible oil by 4.7%, cheese by 2.2%, sugar and salami, dry sausages, ham by 1.5 to 1.5%, milk by 1.4% and bread by 1.3%.
