The proportion of student workers at Tesco is five percent
Tesco-Global Zrt. employs student worforces in 210 Tesco stores. The students work legally through student cooperatives. The 5 percent rate of students meets the average of the retail companies employing student workforce.
The company is trying to solve the manpower demand with the use of students. This could mean a day or two, but even a few weeks during the major holidays like Easter and Christmas. For these periods, the student cooperatives can provide workforces very flexible. The best students who perform well can stay longer, many of them will be colleagues as well. There are already leaders, who had worked first as a student at Tesco. (tozsdeforum.hu.)
