15 selected finalists of the 2022-23 S.Pellegrino Young Chef Academy competition October 4-5. between you can measure yourself at the grand final of the prestigious chef competition in Milan. With this initiative, the mineral water brand aims to find international young chef talents who can be leading figures in the development of gastronomy in the future. In addition to the main prize, the contestants also have the chance to win one of the three thematic prizes, the winners of which will be announced this summer, before the grand final.
Between September 2022 and January 2023, a total of 165 young chefs worldwide competed in the regional finals of the exciting gastronomic initiative launched by the premium mineral water brand. The dishes of the participants were judged by a local jury of renowned chefs recognized at live cooking competitions held in 15 different regions. The Brain Food forum, created with the curatorial support of Fine Dining Lovers, was organized for the first time at the local rounds, with the aim of providing participants with inspiration and new ideas related to the world of gastronomy. At the events, more than 50 world-renowned chefs from the international culinary community took part in inspiring discussions, during which they examined the most important topics in the sector.
During the regional finals, four talented young people were selected from each region, who can continue to compete for international awards in the grand final. The winner of the main prize of the S.Pellegrino Young Chef Academy will be announced at the grand final, and the winner of the other three recognitions of the competition will be announced at the end of June, before the grand final. As in previous years, contestants can also win the S.Pellegrino Social Responsibility Award voted by the Association of Sustainable Restaurants, the Acqua Panna Gastronomic Relations Award awarded by the mentors of the competition, and the Fine Dining Lovers Inspirational Food Award voted by the readers of Fine Dining Lovers.
