Romanian retail trade grew by 8.1 percent in the first seven months
The volume of Romanian retail sales grew by 8.1 percent in the first seven months, compared to the same period of last year – the Romanian National Statistical Institute announced on Monday.
According to the seasonally adjusted and calendar-adjusted value, the growth was 7.4 percent. Growth was generated mainly by fuel sales, which accelerated by 10.7 percent, but also by the 10.6 percent acceleration of non-food items during the period under review. Sales of food, beverages and tobacco rose by 3.8 percent. (MTI)
