Production prices in the industry reduced further in August
In August 2012 production prices in the industry were 0.3 percent below the level of July. The volume of industrial production fell by 0.8 percent if compared with the level of August 2011. Production level in the first eight months of 2012 was 0.4 percent lower than in the same period of the previous year. In August 2012 domestic sales prices in the industry were at the level of the previous month. Sales prices in the processing industries became 1.2 percent higher on average. Domestic sales in the processing sectors were characterised by a 4.7-percent increase in prices if compared with the same period of 2011. Measured in forint, export sales prices decreased by 0.6 percent from the previous month but were 4.6 percent higher than in August 2011.
