Growing year for Spar

SPAR Switzerland has reported a 6.3% rise in sales for 2008 to CHF957 million.

The SPAR and EUROSPAR stores generated
revenues of CHF533 million with a 7.0% rise. Sales of the TOP CC cash
& carry stores rose by 11.7% to CHF285 million. Sales from
deliveries to third parties declined by 5% to CHF139 million . At the
end of 2008, SPAR had 152 of these third parties.
