EU and euro area retail sales increased
Growth occured in retail sales in April in the European Union and in the euro area.
Eurostat said on Tuesday that according to the seasonally adjusted data, retail sales increased by 0.1 percent in the 19-member euro zone in April, and by 0.5 percent in the European Union on a monthly basis.
Annual sales in the euro area increased by 2.5 percent and by 3.0 percent in the European Union in April. (MTI)
