No food crisis in Romania
Romania's is about to import 400,000 to 500,000 tonnes of wheat this season – the Deputy Minister of Agriculture pointed out.
According to Adrian Rădulescu, out of last year's harvest, 65 million tons of wheat has been exported. He claims that in Romania there currently is no food crisis does nor is there a threat of it, there is a sufficient amount of wheat to grind for the domestic market, but 400,000 to 500,000 tonnes of imports will be needed to ensure the domestic demand.
