Nestle News from France and Switzerland
Nestle French unit may miss its growth targets as the company has lost market share for its powdered milk and baby food brands. In Switzerland, a new production and distribution center will be created.
Since the beginning of 2009, sales have fallen 7 percent. Nestle France management, however, hopes for a 0.9 percent growth in volumes this year. Nestle will inaugurate its new Nespresso production and distribution centre in Avenches, Switzerland on Wednesday, the company said. The new 400,000 m3 facility is expected to produce and distribute 4.8 billion Nespresso capsules per year. The establishment of the centre will result in the creation of 340 full-time jobs by the end of this year -reports Flexnews.
