Possibility for growth in spite of difficulties

Representatives of the food marketing business are to meet in Budapest again. The marketing conference of the organisation named CIES – The Food Business Forum will be held on 5-6. November. Decision makers from companies like METRO, Tesco, Unilever, Waitrose and Wal-Mart will present case studies. As Art Drogue, senior vice president of Unilever and chairman of the marketing committee of CIES has told us, responding to the rise in food prices and demand in emerging markets will be the priority topics. Participants will hear practical examples which can be utilised by their companies. The director of the Waitrose chain will speak about the possibility of growth in spite of difficulties. Will prices continue to rise or the worst is over –is the question to be discussed by Ira Kalish, global business director of Deloitte.
