Nébih: apricot and raspberry pálinkas are increasingly examined
In the coming weeks, the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) will pay special attention to the origin of peaches and raspberries used as raw materials for pálinka, the aim of which is to make pálinka – one of the most famous hungaricum – made exclusively from fruit grown in Hungary, Nébih told MTI onm Thursday.
During the inspections, the pálinka producers must certify the place, species and variety of the fruit used in Hungary. From the point of view of monitoring, it is important that in addition to the documents proving the quantitative and qualitative receipt of the fruit arriving at the plant, they have an invoice, purchase ticket or, in the case of own production, a title deed and lease agreement.
